3. Schlitterbahn Waterpark

At the Schlitterbahn Waterpark, thrillseekers can test out the high-speed attractions, Rohr!, Cliffhanger and Screaming Serpents. The Surfenburg section of the park features raft rides, water coasters, picnic pavilions and the Tiki Tikes Kids Area. In the Blastenhoff section, you can ride MASSIV Monster Blaster, the world’s tallest water coaster or get a drink at the swim-up bar in the Shipwreck Harbor wave pool.

4. Galveston Railroad Museum

The Galveston Railroad Museum hosts one of the largest restored railroad collections in the southwest. Their exhibits feature more than 40 pieces of locomotive history and a 4-acre railyard. On Saturdays, you can take a caboose ride on their 1-mile of railroad track.

5. Pirates! Legends of the Gulf Coast

The Gulf Coast used to be a popular port for pirates, including Jean Lafitte, who once made his home in Galveston. This attraction features learning opportunities, a gift shop, pirate reenactors, and a party room. If you have pirate obsessed kids, they will love Pirate Camp.
