Mahindra has made a tremendous progress from once being a commercial vehicles manufacturer to being a leading family car manufacturer in India. One of the strongest suits for Mahindra cars in India has been the SUV/MUV/MPV category, in which it is one of the strongest players in the market.
Mahindra XUV 500 has been one of the superstars for Mahindra and has helped the company develop a solid footprint in the SUV segment. Mahindra has introduced several tweaks over the years but the latest upgrade in 2018 is touted to be the biggest ever and the upgraded version is known as the “Plush New XUV 500”. Let’s have a look at what’s new and what’s not in this car.
Exteriors
The already large front of the car gets more presence with the upgraded grille along with swankier headlamps. The grille has chrome surrounds which complement the chrome surrounds of the fog light inserts excellently. There are new 18 inch allow wheels, chrome inserts, two tone roof rails, and black cladding around the car. The rear end has also undergone massive transformation with newer tail lamps with a new ridge over the number plate holder. The overall look is more mature and premium as compared to its predecessor.

Interiors
The overall look and feel of the cabin are same as the predecessor but the individual elements have been carefully upgraded. The tan leather upholstery is the biggest upgrade as it makes the already spacious seats seem even more inviting. The central console seems snugly fitted with a 7-inch infotainment system that doubles as rear parking camera, Tyre pressure monitor, push button start/stop, cruise control, electric sunroof, airbags, and a host of storage spaces provided for the comfort of travellers.
